Level Layouts and References


This is the beginning of my Devlog for "Ancient Cure" (working) where I will be discussing the process and reasoning behind the design of the game.

  • Where is the level?
    • Ancient Ruins in a forest environment that goes underground as well.
  • What does it feel like?
    • It feels ancient but it’s almost as if the ruins are alive, trying to protect its treasure.
    • There's almost a whimsical feel to the area.
  • Why is the player there?
    • To retrieve an ancient healing amulet based on legend.
    • The world is experiencing a widespread, incurable plague, and this once believed myth is their last resort option.
